Pat and I would like to thank you for the time that you spent with us earlier this week. We very much enjoyed our time with you. We have been buying cars for 40 years and you are, without a doubt, one of the most knowledgable, personable, and enjoyable salespersons we have had the pleasure to work with. Thanks again for your help and please accept our best wishes for a prosperous future. Pat and Dave L.

My reason for writing is to offer you our thanks and compliments, in the strongest possible terms, for making our car buying experience the best we have ever, ever experience. We were so impressed by your knowledge and patience - and with your insistence on ensuring that we find the best Subaru to fit our lifestyle needs. You did a wonderful job. The dealership distinguished itself in our minds by being a thoroughly professional environment in every manner, and we will be sure to stop by and say hi, when the Outback is in for an oil change or scheduled maintenance. Sincerely, Thomas C.

To All at the Fenton Family Dealership,
I want to thank you all for making our purchase of a new '09 Forester at your dealership so pleasurable and easy. It all started after going to your web-site and coming in contact with Mark Carey, your Director of Business Development. I am now retired from my own successful direct sales business that I had been in for 35 years. I have hired, trained and developed hundreds of sales people over that period of time so I can sense a good man and communicator when I see one and Mark is one of those ilk. He hooked me with his expertise and believability in being able to deal with people and so my wife Audrey and I made the trip from the other side of Vermont, Shaftsbury, to Keene, New Hampshire and after meeting the remainder of your crew, namely, Kelly Barber, Bob Berry, and Dan Kuraner, (sorry, but I don't know the name of the other salesman I had a conversation with, but I know he was Italian and loved a good corned beef sandwich), we decided to purchase our Forester from Subaru of Keene, not only because of the great deal that you gave us, but because of the positive atmosphere, energy and exuberance that your dealership possesses. Your can consider me your " Good Will Ambassador" here in western Vermont. Sincerely, Harvey & Audrey Rutheiser

Dear Mr. Perry, I just mailed my follow up survey form that arrived yesterday from Subaru regarding my recent purchase of a 2007 Forester L.L. Bean Edition. Of course my response was glowing. However, other than the check boxes, there was really no way to convey my true feelings. Therefore, I wanted you to know just how much a) I love my new Subaru, and b) I appreciate the treatment I received from the salesman who sold me the car. These days it takes a lot to get me off the couch and out of the house. So what could ever get me to plant my behind on Greyhound Bus for a 6 hour ride up from Long Island to Keene, New Hampshire to pick up a car I could have bough closer to home? Anthony Mastronardi. Two years ago I accompanied a friend who made a similar trip to pick up the Forester she'd bought from Anthony. At the time I was so impressed by the treatment and service she received, that I told him I would be back if I ever decided to buy a new car. And true to my word, I returned. I just had to take the time to tell you personally. Sincerely, Joseph S.

Dear Dan, Samantha, Michael & Everyone, Just a quick note to thank you for the great service and the wonderful new car. It handles beautifully and is very comfortable. We just love it! We hope to do business again with you someday. Until then, thanks. Take care. Sincerely, Lilly, Greg, Peter & Tom

I have been very pleased with Subaru's since 2000. That is when I met Dale Peloquin at the Keene NH dealership. He now fills the position of Service Manager, I believe, because of his wonderful technique with people. He shows compassion to everyone and always goes the extra mile. It seems the service attendants who work with him are taking Dale's example personally. There is a 'clean' atmosphere with respectful people who do their very best to make costly car repairs and maintenance not hurt so much. I think Dale should be commended for his efforts to make service visits for older ladies and gentlemen much easier without so much stress. I have told him I appreciate him but it would be nice if the guy got an 'Atta boy' from the higher ups. If there were ever to be a commercial about Subaru's great service, my slogan would definitely be, "Do it Dale's way." Thanks for your time, Donna Rathburn

Hi Samantha, May I take this opportunity of expressing my appreciation to you and your Manager for all the information that you provided and for your speed and promptness in providing me with a very attractive offer. Yours Truly, Geoff Baker

We live in Brattleboro and just bought a 2008 Subaru Impreza 4 door from Subaru of Keene and couldn't be happier. our salesperson, was laid back and did not try to sell us a car we didn't want. She listened to our needs, asked the right questions, and recommended the PERFECT car for us. Thanks for everything. Kevin H.

Dear Mark, Thank you for all of your help and patience with us in our 1st real car buying experience. It turned out great, as we are very happy with our little Impreza (who is now named - Penelope). Many thanks to you and your co-workers. Best Wishes! Sincerely, Nancy & Bert

This is the first time in my vehicle buying lifetime that I haven't felt taken advantage of.

"I purchased my first Subaru Forester in 2004. I loved it! After about 40,000 miles, bought a 2005 Subaru Forester. But when the 2006 Forester came out, because it did not have navigation I went to a 2006 Mazda CX7 and then a 2007 Honda CRV. Both were excellent vehicles, but I longed for Subaru to come out with Navigation on their Forester model, which it did in April 2008 with the 2009 LL Bean model. I purchased it with all accessories, including leather seats and XM, and already have driven it over 5,000 miles. I love the new look, the ride, the handling, and especially the mileage. My lowest mileage thus far is 26 MPG, with a high of 32 MPG. Am getting about 28 MPG on the Interstate."
"I'm a tough customer and it took awhile to make my decision to buy the Forester (had to look at everything else first). Overall, I am pleased with my Forester and would buy it again. I haul big dogs, mountain bikes, a utility trailer, and most likely a kayak in the near future, so I wanted a capable vehicle with AWD and decent gas mileage with a price that wouldn't break the bank. I would recommend anyone at least give this vehicle a look (and a test drive) if you are in the market for a vehicle with its capabilities."

"I just bought this in December of last year and have put it to the test with massive snow falls in our region so far. It handles very well in the snow. Good visibility through all windows and mirrors. The heater warms the passenger compartment very quickly. Very easy to maneuver and park, short turn radius is impressive. We chose a manual transmission and I love it's handling. Nice tight shifting."
"I previously had an Outlander and had intended on upgrading to the newly redesigned version. After test driving both and researching many others I was solid in my decision. With the excellent crash test ratings, handling, all wheel drive, and great premium package options (who can live without heated seats and side mirrors/wipers) this is a fantastic car for the price."
"Love the all-wheel drive up here in NH. Good cargo room for shopping + dog + other humans. This car is seriously solid on ice, deep snow, and all weather conditions, which is why we bought it."
"Fantastic handling in all conditions with responsive steering that feels firm. Sensitive acceleration so there's no need to stomp on the gas pedal to get it to move. I've never driven a car with better sight through all of the windows which is difficult for me since I'm pretty short. The centrally located engine that's set lower between the tires really makes a difference in keeping it from leaning in certain turns. We recently had a big snow of 8-9" and I purposely pushed the car in open parking lots and open roads to try to make it slide and I had a difficult time. When it would start to lose traction it gained control within a couple seconds. Never enjoyed driving a car so much before!"
"I love my Subaru Forester. I haven't been this happy about purchasing a vehicle in a long time. I truly love the new design of the Forester and the panoramic moon roof is the best. I get the best gas mileage with this car, and I feel very safe in this car. I am sure that I will keep this car around for a very long time. I feel good about my purchase"

"After many comparisons, the Forester sold me on build quality, performance, gas mileage and amenities. This is the perfect fit! I tow a small boat, venture off road a bit and have to deal with the winters of New England. The seats are oh so comfy! I feel as if the vehicle were built around me. I'm 6' 200 lbs and there's no bumping of the elbows, loads of open air above and tons of cargo room for the family. Handling is nimble and easy, the quiet cabin is a pure joy. The other impressive feature is the view, no blind spots, easy to back a trailer, the front view is panoramic! Absolutely love the suspension, not too hard or soft, easy to park, cruises with ease. Gas mileage is right on!"

"No regrets with this car! I can't stay out of it. I've put over 2000 miles on it in the first month!! Heated leather and sunroof are standard and I think people overlook this car because they don't know what it can do or are unfamiliar with Subaru. This is my first Subaru, and now I see why Subaru owners are typically so loyal. DON'T overlook this car, a test drive doesn't cost you anything. It is a well equipped car at a great value and fit and finish is excellent."
"AWD was the biggest selling point for me. Living in snowy areas means preparing for winter at all times, and this car can handle it all! The handling of the car, the flat Subaru Boxer designed engine, the safety features, and the overall look and build quality of this car are phenomenal! Best deal."
"This is a quick, luxurious, good looking, reliable (it's a Subaru), safe (5-star safety rating), all-wheel drive car that has a nice price tag. Anyone looking to step up in class just a little bit should take a look at this ride before you buy the trendier BMW, Lexus, Acura, etc. I was set to buy a Volvo until I saw this car sitting in the Subaru lot right next door. Once I took a test drive and compared the price, I was sold."

"I upgraded from a 2005 Honda Accord Special Edition Coupe, and I'm very satisfied with my choice. Subaru was definitely not a brand I would have considered, but when I saw the Legacy, I fell in love with it. The car has a look that rivals its German counterparts, yet it drives and feels like a true Japanese car that dominates its path. The Legacy has enough power to pass as a basic 6-cylinder, but it has the awesome gas mileage of a 4cyl., even with AWD!!! The design of this car is superb, and the standard features are truly unbeatable! If you're looking for a car that's not basic, but not expensive, this is the car to look at! Once you drive it, you'll refuse to look at anything else!"
"This car is awesome. Getting 30 mpg overall and beautiful leather and features you won't find anywhere for under 35,000 dollars!! Heated wipers and washer fluid, All wheel drive, heated seats with 4 settings and heated mirrors, this car is awesome."
"Wife won't let my drive it!" |

"I have had my Outback for a month. This is "moms car" and I love it! I have an 11 year old daughter and she and I go do a lot of outdoor things. I have already driven in snow and the traction was great! My neighbors were sliding on the snow and my Outback did fine! I'm enjoying driving this car. I like that everything seems convenient to reach for me. My husband is 6'4 and he actually has headroom. I had looked at the Honda CRV too but I just kept coming back to my Outback and happy that I did! Love driving it, get a lot of comments on it, even the boys at the carwash told me they like the inside!"
"I never felt as safe as I do when in my Subaru. This is our second Subaru and I highly recommend to everyone especially if you dread driving in inclement weather."
"I did a lot of research and really wanted to buy my 4th Honda. I looked at the CRV and didn't like the interior. I am a fly fisherman and like to have a vehicle in which I can lie down and take a rest. I have a serious back problem and need to take breaks in my fishing day. The CRV just wasn't able to provide a long rear floor space. When the rear seats are folded down there is plenty of room for me at 5'9". Interestingly enough, the Honda dealer sent us to Subaru! The Subie us everything I wanted. I am an environmentalist and biologist so my carbon footprint and controlling pollution output is important."
"This car replaced a 2001 Nissan Maxima. We got the manual with turbo and VDC. It is such a fun car to drive! It handles great and when you kick in the turbo you pass cars so quickly the drivers mouths are open. Could that be a Subaru wagon? I like the firm ride and tight handling. If you don't like really "driving" your car, buy a Honda Accord."
"Read all the car tests and test drove 15 different cars. The Outback 2.5 XT with manual shift just made the most sense. Very classy functional exterior design. Instrumentation better than my Audi. I'm 61 - this wagon was designed for adults but with the turbo its fun to drive-easily better than a Honda CRV."

"So far, this car is terrific. We had tons of snow in Vermont this winter, and I was able to drive anywhere with the standard all-weather tires. While the drive doesn't quite have the feel of a European car, the 5 speed is fun enough and the price tag for an AWD vehicle is just right. Love the hatch for bike/skis/dog etc., and the premium package with the VDC, leather stuff and 6 disc changer is totally worth the money. MPG is better than expected. I do mostly highway driving, and after 10,000 miles I'm starting to average around 29 MPG."
"You can't go wrong with the Subaru Impreza. I was driving a 2006 Toyota Camry before I traded it in for the 2008 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport. The Camry was good, but the Subaru is better.....far better. Fuel mileage is decent for a sport model and I simply can't say enough about the handling and performance of this car. If you're looking for a safe, reliable, fun-to-drive compact that won't have you feeling or looking like a grandpa, buy this car."
"Recently purchased 2008 Subaru Impreza wagon w/ premium pkg. after trading in 2001 Forester. Impreza styling, handling and performance are outstanding. I travel at least 100 miles daily and wanted a car that could handle the inclement weather and get decent gas mileage, this is the car to get. Presently averaging 30mpg w/ AC! Love everything about this car."
"I recently purchased this car and have been very happy with it. The performance is excellent: the tight steering, acceleration, and the way the car sticks to the road. This is my third Subaru as I can't seem to part with the AWD. Definitely go with the premium package, it's worth it and adds pizzazz to the car."
"Subaru hit all the right notes with this car. I test drove all the competitors before buying the Impreza. The only car that even came close was the Altima but I hated their annoying brakes that jerked every time I pressed on them. This Subaru is fast - when compared with other cars under 20K- and handles deftly. I actually look forward to rain and snow. The interior was a pleasant surprise when compared with past Impreza's. I bought the sedan sport package then added the rear spoiler and roof rack (shark fins). I looks awesome. One final note, any reviewer who puts this car in the same class as the Mazda 3 and Honda Civic should have their right to review cars revoked. While those are both fine cars - I test drove them both - they don't stack up to the quality of the Impreza. Better comparisons would be the Altima, Jetta, and the base Honda Accord."
"Originally, I wanted an SUV, but after my father told me to look at this vehicle and the new model, I decided to take a test drive and make an opinion from there. Well, for 10k less than an SUV would cost, and looking at the specs of the vehicle, I decided to buy it. I love it! It handles very well in the rain and snow...much better than a civic or something more basic. The premium package was worth it, although, I didn't add on the utility rack on top since it's not needed for my daily commute."
| |
"Love it's appearance just as much on the inside as i do the outside. The dashboard looks and feels like a cockpit. It has so many bells and whistles, and I really feel like I'm driving a luxury car."
"We've chosen Tribeca over Toyota Highlander, Honda Pilot, GM "Lambda" vehicles and Mazda CX-9, and we do not regret it. We've now had this car for about a month and 1500 miles. Very satisfied overall. Ride and handling is excellent, and performance is just perfect, very quiet yet powerful engine and super smooth transmission."
"Unbelievable handling, plenty of power due to the new 3.6L boxer 6, does not feel its size or weight. Gorgeous interior, very luxurious for its price point. Ingress/Egress is phenomenal - there is no pulling yourself up to get in (attested by a 7-month pregnant mom-to-be). The 2nd row slides forward/back and reclines, entry to 3rd row is easy. Adults can ride in 3rd row although not the best for long trips, still better than most comparable 3rd row seating".
"It will get you to where you are going; wind, rain, snow, ice be damned. This bullet-proof SUV is, without a doubt, the best value for the money out there. The Porsche-type engine is the most reliable engine in any SUV regardless of price. You just can't hurt it no matter your driving style."
"The first Subaru we've owned and we love it! We were looking at the Honda Pilot boring look), Toyota Highlander Hybrid(cheapo interior, drives like truck), GMC Acadia (drives like a bigger gas guzzling truck), Acura MDX (liked this but not as much as the Subaru for lots of little reasons not to mention value). The Tribeca immediately stood out. The build quality is excellent. The vehicle exudes confidence between the engine, all-wheel-drive, skid control, and all of the other safety features. The flat engine is extremely smooth even during hard acceleration (almost flooring it). The 3rd row is a little cramped but we only have 2 kids and aren't going cross-country in it either. Great car!" |
